Dont use scented lotion

If you use scented lotion it will burn your fresh tattoo. I would use Eucerin personally but everyone has there favorite kind of lotion. Do not over lotion or you will trap unwanted bacteria. Just a nice even coat over the entire tattoo and reapply every few hours to keep hydrated.

I have used Lubriderm for all of my tattoos and it worked really well. Make sure to apply with your hand and not a rag and remember to be gentle.

And DO NOT get excited to show your friends and take off your plastic wrap before you are told.You still have an open wound and exposing it to the elements is not good for you are your work.

There is something called tattoo goo and its supposed to help with fading so im sure there are more out there

Lubriderm is one of the best kinds of lotions for tattoos

Use the palm of your hand to apply the lotion so your nails dont come in contact with your skin
