When I went to get my kids names and a design around it the guys were listening to some band that you couldnt even understand because they were screaming the entire time but I didnt pick out the word death and hate a lot lol. Maybe im a music brat but I find it really hard to enjoy myself when you are forced to listen to someone elses music and it just sucks!

Listening to someone else's music was how many kids have been conceived!

I couldn't agree more. I think there has to be some common ground. Yes, they are doing the work, but you are paying them and you should be catered to, to some extent. Bad music will put you in a bad mood, and make you more agitated than you are already having some guy dig a needle in your flesh!

I would just throw my ear buds in and relax. I dont like talking and getting them distracted anywayz

Im with ^^^^ . I bring my ipod and ear buds, as well as my ipad and phone. I stay busy and stay out their way. Let em listen to, watch, whatever will keep em focused on giving me a good tattoo.

I wear headphones so It don't phase me.

I like talking to my dude because I only see him once every few years but when I go he usually has some Howard Stern in the background so im cool with that.

Can't stand the metal my guy plays, but he is good and refuses to change the music so I deal.
