The best experience that I had was when I got my first tattoo. I was 18 and was a month away from moving to attend college. My mom took me into a shop that was in town so I wouldnt be nervous by myself. My grandmother who I was really close to growing up died right after I graduated from highschool so I wanted to put the nickname that she gave me "Angel Face" on the back of my neck. It didnt take very long or hurt as much as I expected but I remember when it was finished and I looked in the mirror I started to tear up and so did my mother. Ill never forget that day for as long as I live and im so happy that my mother was with me.

Tribute tattoos are the most meaningful

That is a day that you and your mother will never forget. Those days dont come around too often so you should cherish it.

I am not proud of my first tattoo because I got it when I was 16 and drunk from a friend and I had to cover it up later.Good thing your mom was with you so you didnt do it at a shack somewhere and regret it like I did.

My first tattoo was a heart with my initials in it on my pinky but it was so small that after a few months you couldnt even read the letters inside of the heart.

Most of the time people get small tattoos first then after a year they are very anxious to get something much bigger

My first tattoo was a basic name with heart. 17yrs ago....... here I am today, and finally got it covered today.... yah me!! Now its a filthy silhouette of Jimi Hendrix.
