eyeball tattoos

Does anyone have any information on eyeball tattoos? I once saw a prison show where these inmates were making the whites of their eyes red and blue and I was wondering if I could get some detail or just colors only.

I dont think you can get ink from your eye removed so you better make sure you really want it
