Hitchhiking Artist Gets Tattoo For Every Car That Doesn't Pick Him Up

French artist, Tony Weingartner is traveling the world this year and hitchhiking his way along. His newest “work” was an experiment where he was hitchhiking and he would have his buddy tattoo him on the ribs each time a car passed him without picking him up.

He and his tattoo artist friend uploaded a video to YouTube last week, showing Weingartner with his thumb up on the side of a highway trying to bum a ride. For every car that passed without offering him a ride, his friend pulled out the tattoo gun and inked a permanent tally mark just below his right arm on his ribs.

According to HuffingtonPost.com, it is part of a series the two call “Radical Drift”.

After 48 painful tally marks, he finally gets picked up.
