When you go out with a group of friends, you can almost always guarantee that at least one of your friends will be on their cell phone; checking-in on Facebook, Instagramming, Tweeting, emailing, texting, the sky is the limit these days. It has become difficult for people to sit and have a conversation with someone without being interrupted by a phone.

If Nokia has it their way, we won’t even go a second without being interrupted because they would like to have it rooted into our skin!

“Nokia Corp. has filed a patent with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for a tattoo that would send ‘a perceivable impulse’ to your skin whenever someone tries to contact you on the phone. The phone would communicate with the tattoo via magnetic waves (like Bluetooth). The tattoo, in essence, acts as a receiver, and whenever someone calls, you'll get a response you can feel on your skin.”

As if that isn’t crazy enough, you can also customize the “feeling” you would receive based off of who is calling you, similar to how you have custom ring tones on your phone now. For example, if your hubby or wifey is calling you, you can make it tingle and if your boss is calling you, you can make it itch. Crazy right?

Can you imagine the health consequences that this tattoo would have? Not to mention the social impact. People can at least change their phone ringer to silent when they want to or put it away while trying to spend quality time with a friend, lover or family member. Think about having 24/7 texts, emails, calls, Facebook notifications, and Twitter notifications? NO THANK YOU!
