Olympic Tattoo Misspelled
Getting your first tattoo is always scary and it is a life long decision, so you want to make sure you like what you are putting on yourself. You also want to make sure the tattoo artist knows how to spell.
An Atlanta, Georgia torch bearer’s 2012 Olympics heart got a little broken after a memorial tattoo she got in honor of the event when she realized that the tattoo artist misspelled one word.
Terri Peterson, from Atlanta Georgia, was one of 70 international employees picked by her employer to participate in the 2012 Olympics by carrying the torch through Derby in England on June 30th.
Peterson and a friend had gone to a “really good” tattoo parlor in Georgia and she was all pumped up to get a torch logo and the words “Olympic Torch Bearer” tattooed on her arm. Once the tattoo was finished, Peterson looked at it and noticed that the word Olympic was spelt Oylmpic on her arm! She pointed it out to the artist and he felt horrible.
"He felt so bad when he found out. He wanted to fix it but I decided I want to keep it. It's fine. It's the Oy-limpics - it's as unique as I am."
