Tattoo Removal Specialist Eliminates Painful Reminders Of Exes

A tattoo is often a reminder of a certain time in our lives and sometimes that may not always be a good thing.  That’s the case for an Albuquerque laser technicians clients who were left with painful reminders of their abusive exes.

Dawn Maestas of Lazarus Laser Center is doing a great service for women whose ex’s names were tattooed onto their bodies, sometimes against their will, by removing the tattoo pro bono.  

According to HuffingtonPost.com, Maestas was a victim of domestic violence and began offering the service after she realized the healing benefits of removing her ex-husband's name from her body.

"Every time I have someone else in, the story is so much more horrific in the things that this person endured," Maestras told Albuquerque news station KRQE 13. "I don't just remove their tattoos -- they bring their secrets.”
