Obama discusses the ‘family tattoo’

Most of us with tattoos have dealt with the wrath of our parent’s lectures about getting them; are you sure you want to do this, you know that lasts forever right, how will that look when you are older?  Along with the lectures were threats; if you get tattooed, I am not paying for your college or if you get tattooed, you are no longer allowed under my roof! Parents can be relentless when trying to convince their kids to stay tattoo free!

The President and his wife recently revealed their parental tactic to keep their kids away from the needle.

“What we’ve said to the girls is that ‘If you guys ever decide to get a tattoo, then Mommy and me will get the exact same tattoo, in the same place, and we’ll go on YouTube and show it off as a family tattoo,’” Obama said on NBC’s “Today” in an interview that aired Wednesday.

While their kids are still way too young to get a tattoo, we will have to wait and see what the future holds for Malia, 14, and Sasha, 11.
