Rihanna Opens Up About Why She Got Her Gun Tattoo

Rihanna opens up to Elle U.K. in a very sincere interview, letting the world know that she feels more empowered than ever before and let’s us all in on the meaning behind her gun tattoo. 

In the photo shoot, Rihanna shows off her gun tattoo that is located on the right side of her torso.  This tattoo was done a few months after Chris Brown beat her up.

"Everybody wanted to know what was happening in my life. Is she a drug addict? No. Is she an alcoholic? No. Is she a victim? No," she tells Elle. "That's why I got the gun. It was a symbol of strength. I'll never be a victim."

Not only does the 25-year-old singer have the gun tattoo on her torso, but she also has another gun tattoo on her foot – well an Egyptian-like falcon in the shape of a gun.  Last summer, Rihanna got the tattoo on her foot just after the fight with rapper Drank at a NYC nightclub.  She tweeted, “Falcon: a light that shines in the darkness! Never close their eyes during sleep.”
