Tattoo Nightmares
Choosing your tattoo artist is very important when you decide to get a tattoo. You want to go to someone you know is good at what they do and follow proper safety guidelines so you don’t end up with a permanent mistake. If you end up with a tattoo you hate, you are going to spend a ton of money either removing it or covering it up and it may never be what you had once hoped it would.
“Tattoo Nightmares” is a television show on Spike that attempts to help people “turn their disasterpieces into masterpieces”, they see the worst of the worst tattoos and their job is to fix them.
On one of their episodes, a girl named Erika came in with a tattoo that she regretted, even while it was being put on. What she wanted was an image of the Los Angeles skyline, but instead she ended up with a mess of a tattoo that looked like a five year old drew on her with a pen. Erika had met the artist at a liquor store and went to get inked by him on a whim.
As he was tattooing her, she noticed his pupils were massive. He was working on her while on drugs. "I knew I just made the biggest mistake of my life," she lamented.
Thankfully, Big Gus did her cover-up. After several hours she had the LA skyline that she had envisioned. Erika was happy with the cover up and she called Big Gus’s work “amazing”.
